I teach an after school art class in the school that I work in, so I jumped at the chance to try this lovely book. I used to love making pom poms when I was young, but this book was full of ideas that I’d never thought of!
The children in the class were very impressed with the images from the book. Most of them had never made pom poms before, but they were really eager to have a go.
Here are some of their creations, they were really pleased with the finished product. While most of them went for something similar to the aliens in the book, as they were beginners, quite a few of the children said they’d be trying the other ideas, such as the spider, snowman and penguin.
I’d really recommend this book to any educator, crafter or parent. It’s very clearly laid out, the instructions are easy to follow and the ideas are so original. The children and I had such a lovely time making the pom poms, and some of them wanted to make more the following week! An excellent book.
