MY REVIEW:

It’s difficult to review this book without giving too much of the plot away, but it’s just a beautiful and moving book.

Max and Pip have to make a seemingly impossible decision about their little boy, and no matter what they choose, the consequences will be devastating.

There are no winners in this story. Whatever they decide, it’s going to be difficult. The plot is so well done though, with a bit of twist that really works so well.

This book is a departure from the author’s previous genre, and it’s handled so sensitively and beautifully. The story is very personal to the author, and this shows in her portrayal of the emotions that they all go through.

One of my top books this year so far, this will stay with you long after you’ve finished it. A must-read.
