MY REVIEW:
Right from the start, this book drew be in, it was an absolute pleasure to read.
The characters are so well drawn and real. Jo is a lovely character, she’s been hurt before and she’s understandably cautious now about relationships. There’s an undeniable spark between herself and Corrado though. I do have to admit that my favourite character is probably Daisy the labrador though! She really has the lab personality.
The setting is, of course, magnificent. I’ve been to Rome once before, and it was as if I was transported back there by the author’s wonderful descriptions of the city. Through Corrado’s conversations, we also get quite a few fascinating snippets of Rome’s history too. I really enjoyed these, and it added real depth to the book.
This book has so much to offer the reader, humour, joy, wonderful setting and characters. It’s the first I’ve read by this author, but I’ll certainly be buying his other books, such a pleasure to read. A must-read to bring a little sunshine into your life.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
T.A. Williams lives in Devon with his Italian wife. He was born in England of a Scottish mother and Welsh father. After a degree in modern languages at Nottingham University, he lived and worked in Switzerland, France and Italy, before returning to run one of the best-known language schools in the UK. He’s taught Arab princes, Brazilian beauty queens and Italian billionaires. He speaks a number of languages and has travelled extensively. He has eaten snake, still-alive fish, and alligator. A Spanish dog, a Russian bug and a Korean parasite have done their best to eat him in return. His hobby is long-distance cycling, but his passion is writing.
