New Arrivals at Mulberry Lane by Rosie Clarke

I’m delighted to be part of the blog tour for this wonderful book today. Thanks to Aria Fiction for the copy of the book and invitation to be part of the blog tour.

1943 Mulberry Lane, London. In the midst of another bleak winter, life is hard for the residents of The Lane.

When Rose Merchant arrives at Mulberry Lane, she is carrying a secret that haunts her. How can she tell her landlady and the Lanes’ matriarch Peggy Ashley that she is the daughter of a murderer? As Rose learns that she is amongst friends she gradually learns to trust and even to love.

But when Peggy’s estranged husband Laurie returns home for good, both Rose and Peggy’s lives are once again turned upside down.

Can they both find their way through the heartache to find happiness?

I love this series of books and was so pleased that there was a new instalment.

It didn’t take me long to get re-acquainted with all the wonderful characters again.

A little time has passed, and things have changed for some of the characters. Peggy, who we hear more from in this book, is now a mother to twins. When Rose, one of the new arrivals, comes along looking for a job, she begins to work for Peggy, and live in. We get to know Rose, and find out more about her past, and the difficult secrets she is keeping.

It’s a tough time for the people of Mulberry Lane. War is still ongoing, and there are terrible shortages. Maureen in the shop has a hard time keeping the shelves stocked. But, as always, people make the best of what little they have, and help each other out.

Another fabulous novel from Rosie Clarke, I really enjoyed it and wished I could just read it all day. Highly recommended.

MY RATING: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Rosie is happily married and lives in a quiet village in East Anglia. Writing books is a passion for Rosie, she also likes to read, watch good films and enjoys holidays in the sunshine. She loves shoes and adores animals, especially squirrels and dogs.
