MY REVIEW:
These psychological thrillers are absolutely enthralling. I just couldn’t stop reading them.
In the first book, we meet Sophie. She’s a lovely character, perhaps a bit naive at times, but her heart is in the right place. Unfortunately, she meets the wrong type of men, and ends up in a dark place.
But as she gets her life together and begins working as a counsellor, many strange occurrences lead her to believe that she is in danger.
While the tension is palpable in the novel, these books have an autobiographical feel to them, so it makes the story feel so real.
In the second novel, Sophie becomes embroiled in the criminal underworld of Manchester, as she tries to find out the truth about a friend of hers. Again, she seems to be a bit too trusting, but she is trying to do her best.
These are a great read, dark and tense, I’m going straight on to book three to find out the conclusion!
MY RATING: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
